What our clients have said!
-
"With Bill and Linda Baker, you get
two seasoned, highly motivated real estate agents for the price of one. I
recommend them to you without qualification."
Dr. Bruce
Evensen, professor of journalism, DePaul University
- "The Bakers did an outstanding job not only
putting together the terms of the contract, but also in ongoing
communications, which facilitated this transaction in a professional and
expedient manner. I am most thankful for their help and efficiency."
Sharon Banks, Attorney
- "The Bakers guided me every step of
the way in updating my home. Their efforts enabled me to obtain $17,000 more
for my home, which they sold in three days."
Jerry Seevers, former principal, St. Peter Lutheran School
- "Bill
Baker’s sales skills in selling 19 luxury, high-end town-house units from the
blueprints only (no model) were impressive. His personable,
down-to-earth style permitted him to handle with ease the varied customer
personalities, questions and often stressful situations that arise in any
phase-by-phase new construction. He contributed substantially to the success
of the project." Terry King,
president, TMK Development
- "We cannot say enough about the Baker’s marketing program. At our first
meeting, Mr. Baker said that we should ask $279,900 and settle for no less
than $275,000 for our house; and that based on his knowledge of the
neighborhood and the market our house should sell within a week. We were taken
aback a bit by his assertion, but his manner didn’t speak of arrogance or
braggadocio...he simply was telling us what he believed to be true. Our home
did sell fror $275,000 and in 6 days!. We want to commend the Bakers.
Frank
and Noriko Sugano, Chicago Sun Times
- Bill and Linda were very
patient and helped us find a great home. We’ll recommend them forever!

- Just a quick note to thank you for all of your
advice, time and patience you gave me during the whole home buying process! I
am finally sleeping again, was able to get the main rooms painted and most of
the boxes unpacked. It's starting to feel like home and my car loves being in
a garage. Karen W. Teacher at Ivy Hill

- We'd like to send a big "thank you" to you for
all your time, efforts and "optimistic rhetoric" over the past months. Thanks
also for your interest in Pugsley, we know you enjoyer his great walks with
Otis and the extra attention you gave to him. It's truly been a Baker family
effort. Von & Bill

- You did a
fantastic job for us and we are very appreciative. We keep saying how
fortunate we were to have sold that house in this market! (Actually, not
fortunate but smart in our decision to go with you!) Dr. Ken & Ellen
Chessick

The second half of J. S. Bach's Courante from his 3rd Cello Suite. Bach
died in 1750 in relative obscurity. 100 years later composer-pianist Felix
Mendelssohn rediscovered Bach's manuscripts and brought his music to life. In
1829, with the backing of Zelter (Mendelssohn's teacher) and the assistance of a
friend, the actor
Eduard Devrient, Mendelssohn arranged and conducted a performance in Berlin
of Bach's
St Matthew Passion. The orchestra and choir were provided by the
Berlin Singakademie of which Zelter was the principal conductor. The success
of this performance (the first since Bach's death in
1750) was an
important element in the revival of J.S. Bach's music in Germany and,
eventually, throughout Europe.
